John Deacon was born on 19 August 1951, at St Francis Private Hospital, London Road. Deacon was known to friends and his bandmates as “Deacs” or “Deacy” and attended Linden Junior School in Evington[6] and Gartree High School in Oadby.
John’s mother, sister and other family members were at the concert.
